Barrow upon Humber Village Hall was formerly known as the Primitive Methodist Chapel and School, it was sold in 1944 to our predecessors becoming a premises in TRUST, and our local Village Hall.

The Village Hall, Barrow is registered as a charity with the Charity Commission

[Charity Number 507670].  

Barrow Village Hall is possibly the LARGEST VENUE in Barrow upon Humber.  Therefore, whether you’re in need of a large venue for a birthday party; wedding celebration; art exhibition; play or practice sports; dancing; exercise classes; Yoga or just want to relax at a coffee morning, Barrow upon Humber Village Hall is available for hire, for our local community residents.


The main purpose of the Barrow Village Hall Team [Team BVH] is to maintain and run the hall for the benefit of the local and wider residents, families and friends.  Local fundraising activities and grant applications allow the team to bring the building and facilities up to a modern and effective standard, helping them to develop and maintain the hall going forward. 

Team BVH are actively applying for grants and will be organising local fundraising events in the community, when they can, to help create an inviting Village Hall for the communities of - Barrow upon Humber, Barrow Haven and wider residents of North Lincolnshire.


Extract form the Village Hall constitution –

“The property hereby conveyed (herein called the Trust Premises) shall be held upon trust for the purposes of physical and mental training and recreation and social moral and intellectual development through the medium of reading and recreation rooms library lectures classes recreations and entertainments or otherwise as may be found expedient for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Barrow on Humber in the County of Lincoln and its immediate vicinity without distinction of sex or of political religious or other opinions subject to the provisions of these presents”
